Kulternatten

For more than 27 years, Culture Night has been one of Copenhagen's most well-attended cultural events. When the schools begin their autumn holiday the association Kulturnatten creates a festive evening, where the entire cultural life of the city works together to create joy and inspiration for all of us. The purpose of Culture Night is to create the city's biggest one-day event that opens up Copenhagen once a year and ties it together in an intense experience of extraordinary cultural events.

Background

Copenhagen Culture Night's iconic posters form the framework for the visual identity of Culture Night, and the design is the heart and soul of everything from Culture Pass and the front page of the printed guide to being the main image of all advertising, the website, etc.  

During my studies in Copenhagen, I delved into the rich history of the Culture Night festival. As part of an assignment, I was tasked with creating a unique visual identity for Culture Night 2020. My goal was to create a visual identity that captured the essence of the festival - a celebration of culture and creativity. I drew inspiration from the vibrant energy and diversity of the festival and incorporated it into my design.
